Megan is originally from Austin, Minnesota. She began her college education at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and later studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. After moving to St. Paul, Megan applied and was accepted to Hamline Law School. She originally went to law school to become a children's rights attorney but became very interested in contract law and estate planning. She graduated in 2004 with an emphasis on estate planning and was a CALI Award recipient for highest grade in Contracts Drafting. During law school Megan worked as a law clerk for Lawson Software in St. Paul and after graduation she worked as a Research Attorney at Faegre & Benson, LLP in Minneapolis. After the birth of her first child, she founded Kraby Law Firm, PLLC in February of 2006, where she worked on debtor and creditor issues, small business formation and estate planning. Over time, Megan has focused on estate planning, probate and general contract matters. She has been very active in the Northfield community and has served on the board of directors for Northfield Montessori, the Northfield Youth Baseball Association, the Northfield YMCA, the Greenvale Park Site Council, the Northfield School District Finance Committee, Northfield Shares and various other community committees. One of Megan's passions is educating people on the importance of estate planning and the tools that can be used to complete the planning process. Megan lives in Northfield, Minnesota with her husband, Brian, and their four children, Lauren, Josh, Logan and Emma. She enjoys home improvement projects, reading and spending time with family and friends.
About Kim Decker
Kim was raised in an Army family, with most family ties to Pennsylvania, where she graduated high school and received her B.A. in psychology from Grove City College. After college, Kim spent a number of years working in higher education administration and received her Master of Arts in that field from Boston College. During her Masters program, an Education Law and Public Policy course piqued her interest in law. Kim completed her J.D. in 2008 from Northeastern University School of Law and was admitted to practice in Minnesota that Fall. Kim has been an active board member of various Northfield non-profit organizations. She is also very involved with Emmaus Church in Northfield. Kim's husband, Jason, is a professor in the Philosophy and Cognitive Science Departments at Carleton College. Her son, Micah, is a middle schooler at Northfield Middle School. Kim enjoys running long distances, cooking, and relaxing with family and friends.
